Principal Appreciation Day provided us with a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our incredible principal, Mrs Lee, and acknowledge the care, commitment and dedication she brings to our school each and every day.
Mrs Lee certainly felt the love and may have even become a little emotional as she was reminded of just how valued she is by our entire school community. To create a very special and personal keepsake, every student added their thumbprint to their grade’s beautiful ‘appreciation tree’. Each tree was then framed and presented to Mrs Lee by our Year 6 Leaders, a meaningful reminder of the many students whose lives she touches through her leadership, kindness and care.
We also extend our sincere thanks to our wonderful P&C for presenting Mrs Lee with beautiful flowers and a gift card on behalf of our students, parents and carers. It was a lovely gesture and another meaningful way to recognise the enormous contribution she makes to our school.
Mrs Lee’s warmth, compassion and unwavering commitment to our students, staff and families are at the heart of everything she does. She leads with kindness, strength and genuine care, always working tirelessly to ensure our school is a place where every student feels known, supported and encouraged to thrive.
We are truly fortunate to have such an inspiring and dedicated leader in Mrs Lee. While Principal Appreciation Day may come around only once a year, we hope she knows how deeply valued and appreciated she is every single day.

“Welcome to Manly Vale Public School. A place where children are known, valued and nurtured to become confident, curious and compassionate learners.
As Principal, it’s my greatest joy to be part of a school community that feels more like a family. Growing up in a country town taught me the power of connection, kindness and looking out for one another; values that continue to shape the way I lead. At Manly Vale, those same values are woven into everything we do. Our children learn surrounded by caring staff, strong relationships and the incredible natural beauty of the Manly Dam bushland.
We take a whole-child approach to education: we want our students to achieve academically, but also to feel safe, seen and supported as they grow into capable, confident young people. We honour and embed First Nations culture and perspectives, and we work closely with families to ensure every child, regardless of their background, strengths or needs, feels a true sense of belonging.
I’m incredibly proud of the warmth, creativity and community spirit that fills our school. Whether you are a new family exploring your options or already part of MVPS, I warmly welcome you to discover what makes our bushland school such a special place to learn and grow.”

Acknowledgement of Country
We would like to acknowledge that Manly Vale Public School meets on Aboriginal land.
We'd like to pay my respects to Elder’s past, present and emerging and extend a warm welcome to any Aboriginal people who are here today.
We meet on the land of the saltwater people. A land where the bush meets the sand, the sand meets the sea.
The original custodians hunted, lived in an organised family clan system and passed down their history through yarns, carvings, and art.
First Nation’s people are the custodians of Country, having looked after this land for 60 000 years prior to the first settlement.
It is important that we learn the true history both Aboriginal and Anglo- Saxon/European as truth- telling is the only way to Reconciliation.
We fly the National flag alongside the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flag in representation that Manly Vale Public school will hear, teach, and learn all the stories of this site in our Road to Reconciliation.
