Regional Athletics Carnival Update

This Monday six Manly Vale girls represented Manly District at Homebush in the regional competition.    Sophia Ferguson jumped 1.28 metres in the junior high jump. This impressive feat earned her a finalist ribbon for fifth place. The junior relay team made up of Lily Marsters, Sophia Ferguson, Grace Carpenter and Jacqueline Gopilan achieved a fabulous result making the final of the junior girls relay. Lily Masters ran fantastically and made the finals of the 10yrs girls 100 metres. Amber Belot also had a wonderful day narrowly missing out on the final of the 11yrs girls 100 metre sprint. Congratulations to Rowena Craker for her amazing performance at the regional carnival after achieving the titles of both age and district champion at the district carnival. She came 1stin the 12/13yrs girls high jump with her jump of 1.41 metres high. She also achieved 1stin the 12yrs girls long jump, 1stin the 12yrs girls 200 metres and 5thin the 12yrs girls 100 metre sprint! Congratulations to all the competitors on the day who all did a superb job and tried their best.
