Catching a bus
620 Route
- The 620 bus runs between Allambie Heights and Manly Vale Public School in the morning, then returns from the school to Allambie Heights/Allambie in the afternoon.
- Morning services pick up from stops like Allambie Rd (near Kirra Rd), Kentwell/Wandella Roads, Quirk Rd (near Mackellar Girls’ Campus), before arriving at MVPS on Gibbs St.
- Afternoon return times depart MVPS at around 3:10 pm, then travel back through community stops, returning towards Allambie Heights/Allambie.
- This route is part of the official school-bus services and accepts the school Opal-card scheme for eligible students.
618 Route
- The 618 bus provides an afternoon-only service. It departs from MVPS (Gibbs St before Arana St) at approximately 3:08 pm.
- It then travels to nearby community stops and terminates at a nearby high school (or community centre area); useful for families whose children attend the high school, or for those returning home via those stops.

Driving and parking
The start and end of the school day are busy times around our school, with many students, families and staff moving through the area. We thank our community for helping keep everyone safe by following parking and road rules.
Please note the following important information:
- The council car park next to the school is closed to vehicle entry between 8:00am–9:00am. This restriction is in place to keep students safe as they cross the driveway.
- The accessible parking space must only be used by vehicles displaying a valid disability permit.
- There is no kiss-and-drop zone at the front gate. Stopping to drop off or collect students in this area is unsafe and illegal.
- Do not stop or park where there is a solid yellow line, and please do not use the bus zone at any time.
- Five-minute parking is available on Sunshine Street for drop-off and pick-up. Please follow all signage and time limits.
- U-turns and three-point turns outside the school are not permitted.
- Rangers regularly monitor the area, and fines may apply for unsafe or illegal parking.
By parking safely, following signage and modelling responsible road behaviour, you help protect all members of our school community, especially our students. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
